Is Photon safe to connect?
Web trading terminal · Solana. Checked 2026-10-24; every line links its source.
Worst case: Photon's generated trading wallet is signed for by Photon's systems, and the key is shown only once. A Photon compromise, a hijacked login, or a lookalike site (several are documented) could take the whole wallet balance, and the connected Phantom wallet too if you sign a fake site's request.
Safe setup in 3 steps
- Bookmark photon-sol.tinyastro.io and use only that; lookalike Photon sites such as speedtrade.icu have been flagged as phishing
- Save the trading wallet's private key offline when it's shown (it's displayed once), and keep only trading funds in it
- Connect a burner Phantom wallet rather than your main wallet, and reject any signature request that isn't a login or a trade you started
What it can do with your money
| Who holds the keys | The service holds the keys You connect a wallet such as Phantom, then Photon generates a separate trading wallet that it uses to sign your trades. The private key is shown only once at creation. Sources are third-party (Bittime, Quicknode), because Photon's own site couldn't be fetched. source |
