What is an AI trading bot?
Software that places trades for you from rules, signals or a model. Some, like 3Commas QuantPilot, Composer's Trade with AI or Coinrule's MCP, use AI to draft or optimize the strategy; most still execute deterministic rules once you switch them on.
Are AI trading bots profitable?
Some users make money and many lose it. No legitimate bot guarantees returns; fees, slippage and changing markets erode backtested results. Start on paper or demo.
Are AI trading bots legal?
Using a bot on your own account is legal in most countries, but availability varies. Coinrule, for example, does not serve the EU/EEA under MiCA, and Pionex availability varies by region.
