Worst case: Your Fomo wallet is controlled through your email, Apple ID or Google login via Privy. If someone takes over that login, or you connect a wallet on a fake site such as fomoo.family, they can drain the wallet, and Fomo's terms say it is not responsible.
Safe setup in 3 steps
- Install Fomo only from the App Store link on fomo.family or by typing fomo.family yourself; the real site asks you to download the app, while the fomoo.family clone asks you to 'Connect wallet'
- Lock down the email, Apple ID or Google account you sign in with (strong password plus 2FA), because Fomo's terms make you responsible for those credentials
- Keep only trading money in the Fomo wallet and move profits to a separate wallet; if you export the private key, don't paste it into any other app or site
