Of 17 Hyperliquid vaults with $1M+, 14 beat BTC over the past year and 9 fell more than 30%
We rate every open Hyperliquid vault with at least $1M in it and 90 days live on two separate things: security, and performance we compute ourselves from Hyperliquid's public data. Vaults that fell more than 30% are shown but not ranked. The rest are ranked by return per unit of downside risk. Not investment advice.

Security: the same gate for every vault
All these vaults run on Hyperliquid, which scores 50% on our Safety score. Our gate is 50%, so its vaults can be ranked. The security score is never mixed into the performance numbers: a big return can't make up for weak security.
- A vault leader must keep at least 5% of the vault and takes a 10% profit share (Hyperliquid docs). The leader stake column shows each leader's current share.
- Depositors wait 1 day after depositing before they can withdraw, 4 days for HLP (Hyperliquid docs).
- Hyperliquid's terms restrict users in the US and Ontario (Canada), along with sanctioned countries. Check the rules where you live.
How we rate performance
- Evidence: verified. We compute every number ourselves from Hyperliquid's public API. Nothing is self-reported, and backtests never count.
- Who is included: every open, user-led vault with at least $1M and at least 90 days live. HLP and its internal sub-vaults are left out of the ranking.
- Return: each step's profit divided by the capital at the start plus half the net deposits in that step, chained over the window. Deposits and withdrawals are not counted as profit.
- Max drawdown: the worst fall from a peak in that chained return. Drawdown gate: worse than 30% means not ranked.
- Sortino ratio: average return per step divided by the downside deviation, annualized; this sets the rank. Ties go to the smaller drawdown.
- Benchmark: BTC over the same dates, from Hyperliquid's BTC daily close.
Limits
- Provisional data: older history comes in points several days apart, so a fall between two points is not seen and older drawdowns may be understated. Our daily snapshots fix this from January 2027.
- Survivorship: vaults that closed before Oct 26, 2026 are not here, so the list looks better than all vaults did. Every vault we record from now on stays in the data, even if it closes.
- Past results do not predict future results. A vault can change its strategy or leverage at any time.
Ratings are recomputed daily and this page is refreshed weekly. How the security scores work: methodology. Found an error? Tell us with the vault address. Not financial advice.
