Order-book perps (formerly X10); settlement moved from Starknet to Circle's Arc on Oct 22, 2026. Here's how to run a trading bot or AI agent on it without handing it more power than it needs. Every fact links Extended's own docs, checked Oct 30, 2026.

Watch out: Settlement moved to a new chain days ago and the published audits cover the old contracts.

Set up a bot on Extended, step by step

  1. Make sure you're on the real site. Fake trading sites and bots copy every big exchange. Before you connect a wallet, use the official app at app.extended.exchange.
  2. Give the bot its own account. Put the bot in a separate sub-account or wallet with only the money it needs, so a bug or a leaked key can't reach the rest.
  3. Create the bot's key. There is no trade-only key here, so isolate the bot instead. The API key is read-only, but every order needs the account's Stark key, which can also withdraw and transfer. Use one of up to 10 sub-accounts per bot to limit what a leaked key reaches. docs
  4. Run it on testnet first. Sepolia testnet with daily test USDC. docs
  5. Stay inside the rate limits. 1,000 requests per minute per IP by default, up to 12,000 at high volume. docs
  6. Count the fees. Standard markets: 0% maker, 0.025% taker. docs
  7. Put limits outside the bot. A bot can't be trusted to police itself. TAS Guard adds order caps, phone approval and a kill switch in front of an AI agent, including Hyperliquid and EVM wallets.
