# Is Fomo safe to connect?

Web trading terminal · Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Monad, Hyperliquid perps (via third-party protocols). Checked 2026-10-25; every line links its source.

**Worst case:** Your Fomo wallet is controlled through your email, Apple ID or Google login via Privy. If someone takes over that login, or you connect a wallet on a fake site such as fomoo.family, they can drain the wallet, and Fomo's terms say it is not responsible.

## Safe setup in 3 steps

1. Install Fomo only from the App Store link on fomo.family or by typing fomo.family yourself; the real site asks you to download the app, while the fomoo.family clone asks you to 'Connect wallet'

2. Lock down the email, Apple ID or Google account you sign in with (strong password plus 2FA), because Fomo's terms make you responsible for those credentials

3. Keep only trading money in the Fomo wallet and move profits to a separate wallet; if you export the private key, don't paste it into any other app or site
